While the world has been anticipating the release of SRK’s Ra.One & been dying to know the shape of its fate, there are mixed views about how the movie has actually faired.

However, Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One did surprise the people when the official numbers came out. So, the film grossed Rs. 26.5 crores with a net of Rs. 18.5 crores on Wednesday 26th October making it the highest ever Diwali day collection in the history of Indian cinema especially in the last 14 years.

Ra.One (Hindi: रा.वन) is an upcoming 2011 Hindi science-fiction superhero film directed by Anubhav Sinha, and starring Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in the lead roles. It also stars Shahana Goswami, Dilip Tahil and Chinese-American actor Tom Wu in supporting roles. The film is produced under Khan's production company Red Chillies Entertainment the release of Ra.One was pushed back due to extensive post-production work involving special effects and its 3D conversion, and is now set for release during the Diwali weekend of October 26, 2011in both 2D and 3D formats.
